"We step into this universe, in an interconnected space where imagination and hope can connect us across time and space, the past and the future— on a deep level of selves and in the heart of this world."

"The Wave" is a sculpture installation that originates from my series of site-specific solo-day installations, which have engaged viewers in various public spaces across the UAE. Each installation consists of numerous stones, handwritten and glazed with the word 'hope,' placed at water level, where a stone would naturally be, reflecting the essence of hope. "The Wave" is a challenging translation of this public land-art installation into an indoor space, symbolising ripples and waves through the use of mirrors and lights in a floor-level installation.

"A long time ago, someone I loved gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this was a gift. It took me years to learn that darkness defies and defines brightness. When I finally discovered that, something began to grow—something that many call "hope."

We carry a body of darkness within us, one that we take everywhere we go. Our physical form is devoid of light. Yet, the miracle is that the closer we get to the core of our inner darkness, the brighter we become—within that very dark. The Darker, The Brighter is an experimental darkroom installation, derived from a philosophy exploring the shifting relationship between life, hope, and the future.

"Soft light breaks the dark,
 Petals unfurl in the dawn,
 A spark in the still."

Fascinated by the narrative of material and nature, the "Hope" sculpture series explores form, light, and colour, striving to push the boundaries between painting and sculpture through impressionistic, minimalist, and poetic approaches to both the subject and the substances.

"Language is the incomplete translation of feelings."

is a poetic and metaphorical exploration of the world of words and their role in communication. The series reflects on the invisible aspects of language—the hollowness of words and their cognitive perceptions. It delves into the experience of words beyond their conventional interpretations, where body, hands, heart, skin, or eyes transform words into something and somewhere beyond themselves in the deep self. Words weave through us, creating a tapestry of meaning that is felt rather than merely understood within their hollowness.

The study of our brain and nervous system shows that we experience a significant amount of "blindness" when we blink, but we hardly notice it. This challenges the common belief that we are constantly seeing when we are awake, raising questions about our perception and the sense of communication.

The "Blindness" installation, through a symbolic approach, explores the sense of reality that can be incomplete or distorted yet real to us. It's like a mirror reflecting questions about the gap between what we perceive and what we're sure of. This installation strives to provoke thought, challenging our certainty and opening up discussions about the complexities of human perception.

The "Blindness" installation features a series of eyeball-like sculptures placed at floor level, depicting a blinking action that turns into stop-motion depending on the viewer's choice and actions as they move around the installation. Viewers become integral to the installation as they control the occurrence of blinking, the gaps, and the speed. Their movements determine the direction of the "eyeballs" and the pace of the blinking. Whether they walk or stand affects the installation's arrangement, creating a sense that the viewer has control over what they see, hear, and feel despite the force of the given.

"HOPE" Series.  installations

"As gentle waves caress the shore and the tide circles your feet, the pebbles lie undisturbed—silent guardians of serenity. "

The round stones carry the spirit of water in the body of rocks that once were. This reflects humans in the passage of time, hope, and the future. What sustains us in the cycle of life seems to be the gravity of hope, which wears us down and shapes us in a continual, circular flow of existence.

The Hope installations metaphorically approach the natural rhythm of our existence and resilience—sometimes receding but always returning. These often solo-day public installations in natural and public spaces blur the line between controlled art and organic flow. In this installation, stones inscribed with 'hope' are coated with luminous pigment, glowing as night falls. As darkness descends, the glowing stones merge into a magical, unexpected, invisible aspect of hope, inviting viewers to contemplate their own place within this unbroken cycle, where hope remains a constant force, even in moments of uncertainty.
